In August, the entire society consumed 886.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, a year-on-year increase of 3.9%. In terms of industries, the primary industry consumed 14.2 billion kWh of electricity, a year-on-year increase of 8.6%; the secondary industry consumed 545.8 billion kWh of electricity, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%; the tertiary industry consumed 171.1 billion kWh of electricity, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. %; the domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 155 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year decrease of 9.9%.
From January to August, the total electricity consumption in the whole society was 6,082.6 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.0%. In terms of industries, the primary industry consumed 85.9 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%; the secondary industry consumed 3,951.1 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 5.0%; the tertiary industry consumed 1,107.9 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%. %; urban and rural residents’ domestic electricity consumption was 937.7 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1%.
