The latest data from the General Administration of Customs shows that in August 2023, China exported 5.61 million tons of steel plates, a year-on-year increase of 49.3%; the cumulative exports from January to August were 38.19 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 26.0%.
In August, China exported 1 million tons of steel bars, a year-on-year increase of 56.2%; from January to August, the cumulative exports were 7.36 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 50.0%.
