The latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in August 2023, China's steel bar production was 18.779 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%; the cumulative output from January to August was 156.028 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%.
In August, China’s output of medium-thick and wide steel strips was 18.012 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 33.2%; the cumulative output from January to August was 135.752 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.0%.
In August, China's wire rod (wire rod) output was 11.906 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%; the cumulative output from January to August was 94.896 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%.
In August, China's iron ore raw ore output was 86.333 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%; the cumulative output from January to August was 659.169 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.0%.
