German materials manufacturer Covestro has announced that it will supply Desmopan®, a new thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that meets strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, to the Asia Pacific region.
GMP series products. This series of products will be produced at Covestro’s Changhua base in Taiwan and can meet the high requirements of food contact applications. Its scope of application includes conveyor belts, food containers and drinking water equipment. It can also be used in toys, orthodontics and related health care fields. .

Desmopan®

In addition, this series of products complies with the EU Food Contact Plastic Materials and Articles Regulation EU10/2011 (text relevant to the European Economic Area), as well as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR
Relevant standards for 177.1680 (polyurethane resin) and 21 CFR 177.2600 (rubber products for reuse).
