September 20, 2023 – PPG announced that its Global Coatings Innovation Research Institute (PPG Global Coatings) in Tianjin Binhai New Area
Innovation Center (TEDA) was officially completed and put into use.
The project has a construction area of approximately 323,000 square feet (30,000 square meters) and features advanced R&D technology and experimental facilities aimed at developing innovative paints, coatings and specialty materials. The Global Coatings Innovation Institute will join PPG’s other global innovation centers to serve customers in construction, consumer goods, industry, transportation and other fields, covering markets in China, the Asia-Pacific region and even the entire world.
