In August 2023, the top three import sources of butadiene were South Korea, Oman and the United States, accounting for 37.27%, 9.45% and 8.85% respectively.

In August 2023, China's butadiene exports were sold to South Korea and Taiwan, accounting for 50.90% and 49.10% respectively.
