The State Forestry and Grassland Administration announced today that the three-month "2023 Clean Breeze Action" jointly carried out by 11 departments has achieved remarkable results. The operation severely cracked down on illegal and criminal acts that destroyed wildlife resources, comprehensively consolidated the results of banning illegal wildlife trade and getting rid of the bad habit of indiscriminate eating of wild animals.
During the operation, more than 380,000 law enforcement vehicles and more than 2.34 million law enforcement officers were dispatched across the country, more than 14,000 wildlife cases were investigated, more than 15,000 illegal criminals were dealt with, and 190 million yuan of illegal income was confiscated. Fines and fines of 16.42 million yuan were imposed.
From March to June this year, led by the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, the Central Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Transport, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Railway Administration , the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the State Post Bureau and other departments jointly organized and carried out the "2023 Clear Breeze Operation" nationwide focusing on combating illegal hunting, collection, killing, sale, acquisition, transportation, consumption, and utilization of wild animals and plants.
