September sales of many new energy vehicle companies hit record highs
On October 1, a number of new energy vehicle companies announced September delivery and sales, and sales reached a record high. GAC Aian won the first prize. Its sales in September exceeded the 50,000 mark for the first time, and its sales have exceeded 50,000 vehicles for two consecutive months, setting a new high. The cumulative sales in the first three quarters exceeded 350,000 vehicles. Changan Automobile's (000625) self-owned brand's new energy sales volume in September was 50,990 units, a month-on-month increase of 27.09%.
Li Auto delivered a total of 36,060 new cars in September, a year-on-year increase of 212.7%, setting a new monthly delivery record. The cumulative delivery volume in the third quarter was 105,100 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 296.3%, and the cumulative delivery volume for the whole year has reached more than 244,200 vehicles.
Geely Automobile sold 170,500 vehicles in September, a record high. Among them, Geely Automobile sold 53,690 new energy vehicles in September, a record high. New energy vehicles accounted for more than 31%, a month-on-month increase of about 14%, and a year-on-year increase of about 37%. %.
Leader BYD (002594) has not yet disclosed its sales volume, but according to statistics from TrendForce, BYD has replaced Ford as the fourth largest brand in terms of car sales in August.
It is worth noting that compared with the first-tier car companies such as BYD, GAC Aian, Changan Automobile, and Ideal, the second-tier new car-making forces have expanded. Sales of many new forces including Leapmotor, Weilai, Xpeng, Jikrypton and Nezha Automobile were between 12,000 and 15,000 units in September.
Leapmotor delivered 15,800 vehicles in September, a record high. In the third quarter, it delivered a total of more than 44,300 vehicles, a month-on-month increase of 30%; Weilai Automobile delivered 15,640 vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 43.8%. The cumulative delivery volume was 55,400 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 75.4%.
Xpeng Motors delivered a total of 15,300 new cars in September, a month-on-month increase of 12% and a year-on-year increase of 81%, maintaining strong growth for eight consecutive months. The cumulative delivery volume in the third quarter reached 40,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 72%; Nezha Automobile delivered 13,200 units of the entire series in September, and the delivery volume of the entire series in August was 12,100 units; Jikrypton Automobile delivered 12,053 units in September, a large Orders hit a record high.
In addition, SAIC-GM sold 10,000 new energy vehicles in September, a year-on-year increase of 168% and a month-on-month increase of 24.8%.
Dongguan Securities pointed out in the research report that the state and local governments continue to support the expansion of new energy vehicle consumption policies. As the auto market enters the peak demand season, the main new products of auto companies have successively increased their volume to support the release of potential demand. Subsequent new energy vehicle sales are expected to continue to rise.
