According to the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics, in August, raw coal output of enterprises above designated size in Anhui Province remained stable, electricity production declined slightly, and crude oil processing volume showed rapid growth.
Data show that in August, Anhui's raw coal output was 9.668 million tons, a slight decrease of 0.2% year-on-year. From January to August, raw coal output was 75.779 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%.
In August, enterprises above designated size generated 33.04 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year decrease of 3.2%; the cumulative power generation was 222.36 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 4.2%.
In terms of types, thermal and wind power generation showed a downward trend in August, down 3.7% and 15.2% respectively; hydropower and solar power generation maintained growth, with growth rates of 28.9% and 2.7% respectively.
In addition, in August, 641,000 tons of crude oil were processed, an increase of 15.3%; from January to August, a total of 5.046 million tons of crude oil were processed, an increase of 8.4%.
