The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Announcement No. 2537/QD-BCT, launching the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on aluminum profiles originating in China. The Vietnamese tax numbers of the products involved are 7604.10.10, 7604.10.90, 7604.21.90, 7604.29.10 and 7604.29.90.
Historical background: On January 11, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam launched an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum profiles originating in China. On September 28, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam made a positive final ruling on the case and began to impose anti-dumping duties of 2.49% to 35.58%. On November 18, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam launched the first midterm review investigation into the case. On April 20, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam made the first mid-term review and final ruling on the case, adjusting the anti-dumping tax rate for the products involved to 4.39% to 35.58%. On June 10, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam launched the second midterm review investigation into the case. On January 19, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam made the second mid-term review and final ruling on the case, adjusting the anti-dumping tax rate for the products involved to 2.85% to 35.58%.
