Benxidine
[Overview] The chemical name of Fenpropidine is (RS) 1-[3-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-2-methylpropyl]-piperidine, which is a drug developed by Syngenta. The new piperidine systemic fungicide, whose mechanism of action is to inhibit sterol synthesis, is particularly effective against powdery mildew, especially powdery mildew, ryesporium and rust fungus. At present, fenpropidin has been promoted and used on crops such as wheat, barley, grapes and bananas, and its application scope is being further expanded. In order to ensure its safe use, many countries have stipulated the maximum residue limit (MRL) standards for fenpropidine in different fruits.

No-effect dose in feeding test: rats (2 years) 0.5mg/(kg •d), mice (1.5 years) 4.5mg/(kg •d), dogs (1 year) 2mg/(kg •d), The ADI for humans is 0.005 mg/kg body weight. The acute oral LD50 of female mallards is 1.9g/kg, and the acute oral LD50 of pheasants is 370mg/kg. Fish poison LC50 (96 hours): rainbow trout 2.6 mg/L, carp 3.6 mg/L, blue gill 1.9 mg/L. Relatively non-toxic to bees, LD50 (48 hours) (oral) >0.01mg/bee; (contact) 0.046mg/bee. Earthworm LC50 (48 days)>1000μg/kg soil. Daphnia LC50 (48 hours) 0.5mg/L.
【How to use】
When applying this product, follow the recommended dosage and spray the watery leaves evenly at the initial stage of the disease. Spray 1 to 2 times with an interval of 7 to 10 days. The safety interval for spring wheat is 40 days, and the safety interval for winter wheat is 30 days. It can be used up to 2 times per crop.
【Synthesis method】
1. React 4-tert-butylphenylisobutyraldehyde with pyridine in toluene, then treat it with formic acid, and remove water to obtain the final product.
2. It is prepared by reacting N-(2-methyl-3-phenyl)propylpiridine and isobutylene in dichloromethane under acidic conditions.
【Analysis method】
Use GLC with FID, and the residue is determined with GLC or HPLC with AFID.
