Rust inhibitors can be divided into two types according to the usage method: mixing type and coating penetration type. Mixed rust inhibitors are generally used for anti-corrosion in new projects and repairs of old cement concrete structures; surface coating of penetrating rust inhibitors are generally used for surface protection of old cement concrete structures, and can also be mixed into new projects. Mixed rust inhibitors are used at the same time. This article focuses on incorporated mix-type rust inhibitors used in cement concrete and repair mortars.
At present, the number of rust inhibitors used in reinforced concrete bridge structures in my country is relatively small, which lays a serious hidden danger for the corrosion damage of steel bars in the future. We should learn lessons from the corrosion damage of bridge structures in developed countries, take precautions and take anti-rust measures at the beginning of the construction of the structure. Concrete mixed with rust inhibitors does not require special construction techniques and can show superiority in some special anti-corrosion parts. It is recommended to use rust inhibitors in cement concrete bridge structures under the following environments and conditions:
(1) In marine environments: roads in seawater erosion areas, tidal areas, splash areas and ocean atmosphere areas Reinforced concrete bridges and reinforced concrete guardrails, etc.;
(2) Prestressed concrete and reinforced concrete bridges using sea sand or seawater;
(3) De-icing (snow) in winter Reinforced concrete bridge (culvert) surfaces, reinforced concrete guardrails, etc. that contain salt;
(4) Bridge substructures containing chloride salts in groundwater and soil;
(5) Use low-alkali High-grade cement or low-alkali admixture, reinforced concrete bridges in a strong chlorine salt corrosion environment;
(6) Prestressed concrete and reinforced concrete bridges with chloride ion content greater than the maximum limit in Table 3;
(7) Repair of reinforced concrete bridges with chlorine salt corrosion;
(8) Where corrosion protection of embedded parts or steel products in cement concrete needs to be strengthened, due to limited conditions , the protective layer of cement concrete components is thin.
Other reinforced concrete structures such as reinforced concrete pavements, tunnels, culverts, underground caverns, etc. in highway projects that have a basic requirement to prevent chlorine salt corrosion also need to use rust inhibitors. In my country, the chlorine salt corrosion environment is roughly estimated to account for about 2ö3 of the country's land area. This shows the extensiveness of steel corrosion and the necessity of corrosion prevention. </p
