BASF cooperates with Dongfang Yuhong, a leading domestic manufacturer of thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) waterproofing membranes, to develop solar roof waterproofing membranes for construction. This new solution is designed to meet China's rapidly growing demand for rooftop solar panels.

Extending service life not only saves resources, but also reduces waste during maintenance and repairs.
In addition, the cooperation between BASF and Oriental Yuhong also solves the challenges caused by the increasing number of photovoltaic panels installed on roofs. Since photovoltaic panels absorb large amounts of sunlight, their temperatures can reach as high as 70°C, thus accelerating TPO The aging process of roofing membranes.
