It is understood that Antioxidant 1098 is in the form of white powder. It is a nitrogen-containing hindered phenol antioxidant with a melting point of 156_161°C. It is soluble in methanol and chloroform and slightly soluble in Toluene is almost insoluble in water, has low volatility, does not pollute, is resistant to extraction, non-toxic, resistant to thermal oxidation and extraction.
The uses and dosage of antioxidant 1098 are as follows:
1. The uses of antioxidant 1098:
Mainly used in polyamide, polyolefin, polystyrene, ABS resin, acetal resin, polyurethane, polyester, rubber, elastomer and other polymers, especially suitable for polyamide injection molded parts, fiber and Film stabilizer.
Adding it during the polyurethane polycondensation process can prevent discoloration of the polymer during post-processing, spinning and combing.
It can also be used in conjunction with other additives, such as synergistic stabilizers (phosphite, thioaldehyde, hydroxylamine, lactone), light stabilizers (UV absorbers, hindered amines) and other functional stabilizers. to improve antioxidant properties.
2. Use and dosage of antioxidant 1098:
Antioxidant 1098 is recommended for use in polyamide injection molded products, fibers and films. Depending on the polymer type, addition method, application and required stability level, the addition amount is between 0.05-1.0%. Antioxidant 1098 can be easily dispersed in the polymer by conventional extrusion mixing techniques.
Antioxidant 1098 can be added at 0.05-0.2% during the polyamide polycondensation process to prevent discoloration of the polymer during post-processing, spinning and combing. If Antioxidant 1098 is added before or during polyamide polycondensation, the reaction conditions and chain terminator concentration may need to be adjusted to compensate for the changes caused by the antioxidant.
Depending on the base resin and stability requirements, the recommended dosage of antioxidant 1098 in polyacetal, polyester, polyurethane, saturated and unsaturated rubber is 0.05-0.5%.
