China’s “National Food Safety Standards for the Use of Food Additives” ( GB 2760-2014) stipulates that acesulfame potassium can be used in ready-to-eat flavored foods or their pre-made products with milk as the main ingredient (excluding ice cream and flavored fermented milk) (limited to canned milk-based desserts), frozen drinks (except edible ice) ), canned fruits, jams, preserves, pickled vegetables, processed edible fungi and algae, canned grains, black sesame paste, canned cereal desserts, baked goods, beverages (except packaged drinking water), jelly, table sweeteners, Condiments, soy sauce, candies, gum-based candies, etc., but are not allowed to be used in herbal products.
Our country has also formulated corresponding quality specification requirements for acesulfame potassium, “National Food Safety Standard Food Additive Acesulfame Potassium” (GB 25540-2010).
