● Used for radiation curing varnishes, inks and coatings, with excellent substrate wetting, anti-cratering, flow, slip and release properties
● Low foam stabilization tendency, recommended for traditional UV curing and UV-LED light curing coatings and inks
● High degree of cross-linking, low migration and high cost-effectiveness
Evonik is expanding its TEGO® Rad product range of custom silicone acrylates to offer a unique, highly cross-linkable additive for radiation-curable coatings and inks. The new TEGO® Rad
2330 has excellent substrate wettability and slipperiness, low tendency to stabilize foam, and can be widely used in inks and varnishes, as well as transparent and colored wood coatings.
TEGO® Rad
Each molecule of 2330 has multiple reactive groups to ensure high cross-linking and minimize migration. In addition, it can effectively reduce surface tension and has excellent anti-crater properties, slipperiness, release properties and outstanding low-foaming properties.
Susanne, Head of Ink Segments EMEA and Global Projects at Evonik
Struck said: “Customers in the printing ink industry are in greater demand for additives with high substrate wetting, anti-cratering, flow, slip, release properties and minimal migration. TEGO® Rad
The 2330 is the ideal product to meet the needs of this important market segment. ”
Evonik TEGO®
The Rad silicone acrylate product line provides formulators a complete solution to help them design ink and coating products with superior performance. These additives improve the flow, leveling and appearance of radiation-cured inks and coatings, prevent shrinkage and meet the slip and flow requirements of formulators. TEGO®
Rad series products have different slipperiness and compatibility, which helps formulation engineers create more precise product formulations.
Evonik’s Coating Additives business line has a comprehensive product portfolio for the field of radiation-curable inks. This business line also offers a broad range of products for high-performance formulations of coatings for the automotive, architectural, decorative, marine and other industries.
