At a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on October 23, the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Commerce stated that in the next step, multiple measures will be taken to promote the import of global high-quality products.
The Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to revise the "Catalogue of Encouraged Imported Technologies and Products" to support enterprises in expanding the import of advanced technologies, important equipment and key parts and components, and promote the adjustment, optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.
Vice Minister of Commerce Sheng Qiuping: Innovation demonstrations are constantly promoted. There are currently 43 import innovation promotion demonstration zones across the country. We will guide various localities to actively carry out policy innovation based on their local characteristics and advantages, build a number of consumer goods import platforms and bulk commodity trading centers, and promote the in-depth integration of import trade with industry and consumption.
In addition, we will deepen the construction of international consumption center cities, promote exhibition exchanges, give full play to the role of major exhibition trade platforms such as the China International Import Expo, promote more high-quality goods, technologies and services to enter China, promote enterprise exchanges and docking, and allow more Enterprises share opportunities in the Chinese market.
