Data released by the General Administration of Customs show that China will export 230,000 tons of coal in July 2023, a year-on-year increase of 171.6% and a month-on-month decrease of 55.77%.
In July, the national coal export volume decreased significantly compared with the previous month, hitting the second lowest level this year. In March this year, the export volume was only 70,000 tons, which was the lowest this year and also the lowest in history.
From January to July 2023, the country’s cumulative export of coal was 2.31 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 209.8%; the cumulative export value was 473.434 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 232.4%.
