2. Lime mortar is only used for masonry projects with low strength requirements and dry environments. The mixed mortar not only has good workability, but also can be formulated into masonry mortars of various strength levels. It can be widely used in various masonry projects except for masonry that has higher requirements for water resistance. When choosing the strength grade of masonry mortar, generally, M1-M10 masonry mortar is used for the walls of multi-story buildings; M5 mortar is often used for masonry foundations, inspection wells, rainwater wells and other masonry structures. Masonry mortar of M2.5-M10 is used for masonry in industrial plants, substations, basements, etc.; mortar below M2.5 is commonly used in buildings with two floors or less.
