On July 13, it was learned from China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as Tianchen Company) that recently, the new high-efficiency green hydrogen peroxide method propylene oxide (HPPO) process with Tianchen Company's fully independent intellectual property rights was adopted, and the golden Cheng Petrochemical's 300,000-ton/year propylene oxide and supporting 900,000-ton/year hydrogen peroxide combined plant were successfully commissioned.
According to reports, Jincheng Petrochemical's propylene oxide and supporting equipment are the first 300,000-ton HPPO equipment in China that has successfully started up with its own technology, marking the single-line epoxy production process of direct oxidation propylene oxide independently developed by Tianchen Company. The designed capacity of propane has been increased from 100,000 tons/year to 300,000 tons/year, transforming from an industry follower to an industry leader on a global scale, and industrial production has entered a new stage.
The HPPO research and development project team of Tianchen Company has started to tackle key problems from core catalysts and key equipment since 2010. Process HPPO hydrogen peroxide propylene direct oxidation propylene oxide production process. Compared with the traditional chlorohydrin method, the new process can reduce the consumption of propylene by 1.5%, reduce the amount of waste water produced by more than 98%, and reduce the discharge of waste residue by more than 80%. If Tianchen Company has built a total production capacity of 1.15 million tons of propylene oxide, it can promote the propylene oxide industry to reduce waste residue emissions by about 3 million tons per year and waste water by 55 million tons per year, which is equivalent to reducing emissions by 4 per year.
