AEA concrete expansion agent

AEA concrete expansion agent is a major patented achievement of the China Academy of Building Materials Science. (Patent number: 851071015). It is one of the most crack-resistant and anti-seepage concrete expansion agents in China. Its technical performance complies with JC476-98 standard. In 1997, it was awarded as a key promotion project by the National Science and Technology Commission and the Ministry of Construction, and was listed as a key recommended new product by the China Concrete Admixture Association.
Main technical properties
1. AEA is a calcium sulfoaluminate concrete expansion agent. It is mixed with 8-10% of the five major cements and can be mixed into compensated shrinkage concrete to prevent or greatly reduce the shrinkage of concrete. cracking, improve compactness and impermeability, realize structural self-waterproofing, extend or cancel expansion joints, simplify construction technology, shorten construction period; expand temperature control range, control temperature difference cracks, and have good economic and technical benefits.
2. AEA has low alkali content, no alkali-aggregate reaction, large expansion energy, fast expansion stability, high strength in the later period, and small dry shrinkage. It is a safe and durable additive.
3. Scope of application
AEA expansion agent can be used in concrete projects and cement products that require crack resistance, anti-seepage, joint, moisture-proof, and filling.
1. Underground buildings such as subways, underground parking plants, underground warehouses, tunnels, mines, civil air defense projects, underground sidewalks, etc.
2. Build pools, swimming pools, water towers, storage tanks, large containers, granaries, and oil tanks.
3. Self-waterproof rigid roof, mortar anti-seepage layer, and mortar moisture-proof layer.
4. Lining protective mortar for cast iron pipes and steel pipes.
5. Cement products, manufacturing self-stressed, prestressed and steel-jacketed anti-stress concrete, water pipe concrete and reinforced concrete, drainage pipes, floor slabs, columns, beams, waterproofing panels, etc.
6. Important buildings requiring good crack resistance and perfect appearance. Such as sports stands, city sculptures, museums, hotels, etc.
7. Highway pavements, bridge concrete surfaces, and culverts.
8. Build high-strength, high-impermeability shafts and dam backfill trenches filled with concrete.
IV. Precautions for use
1. The mix design of AEA concrete is the same as that of ordinary concrete. But ***cement dosage should be ≥300kg/m3. Exceptions include large-volume concrete for hydraulic engineering and offshore engineering.
2. There must be a dedicated person responsible for AEA weighing, and the AEA measuring device must be inspected at any time. In principle, AEA is put into the mixer together with other materials. Mixing time: When using a forced mixer for ordinary concrete, it should be extended to more than 30 seconds, and when using a self-falling mixer, it should be extended by more than 1 minute. The material can be discharged only after the mixing time reaches a uniform state.
3. The poured concrete should not be exposed to direct sunlight and should be covered with straw mats in time. After the concrete hardens, it must be maintained by a dedicated person, and the curing time should be no less than 14 days to keep the concrete in a moist state.
4. If honeycomb dog holes appear in the concrete after removing the formwork, the loose areas can be removed and then repaired with AEA-mixed mortar or pisolite concrete.
5. The spacing of expansion joints of AEA concrete can be extended to 60m; by adopting seamless design and construction technology, expansion joints can be eliminated.
5. Packaging and Storage
This product is packaged in a composite woven bag lined with plastic bags. Each bag weighs 50±0.5 kg and is stored in a dry and ventilated place. It is prohibited to get wet and caked. The shelf life is one year. </p
