Baofeng Energy stated on the investor interaction platform on August 3 that the company’s main projects currently under construction are: (1) 200,000 tons/year styrene project, which has been put into operation; (2) Phase III The olefin project is about to start operation, and the supporting 250,000 tons of EVA project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of October; (3) 100,000 tons/year needle coke project is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year; (4) 100,000 tons/year of green hydrogen The green ammonia production project and the 100,000 tons/year vinyl acetate project are expected to be completed and put into production in the first half of next year; (5) The progress of the 3 million tons/year olefin project in Inner Mongolia is in line with the plan.
At present, the production capacity of Baofeng olefins segment is 600,000 tons/year of olefins in the first phase of Ningdong, and 600,000 tons/year of olefins in the second phase, totaling 1.2 million tons/year; the designed capacity of the third phase is 1.15 million tons/year, including 40 10,000 tons of polyethylene, 500,000 tons of polypropylene, and 250,000 tons of EVA are currently being prepared for driving, and 250,000 tons of EVA is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of October. The Inner Mongolia project is under construction with an olefin production capacity of 3 million tons per year.
On August 3, the Ecological Environment Bureau of the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base Management Committee accepted the second set of environmental impact assessment documents for the 500,000-ton/year coal-to-olefins project of Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co., Ltd.
In order to further enhance the cluster effect of Baofeng Energy’s high-end coal-based new materials circular economy industry cluster, this time it will plan to build a second set of 500,000 tons/year coal-to-olefin project, using 2.4334 million tons/year coal as raw material, using Baofeng The existing 5,000Nm3/h green hydrogen is coupled with this project, and eventually 250,000 tons/year of EVA and 300,000 tons/year of PP products will be added.
This project fully draws on the experience of Ningxia Baofeng’s existing Phase I, Phase II and Phase III projects under construction. Coal is used as raw material, and pulverized coal is pressurized and gasified, transformed and purified, and MTO grade methanol is produced by low-pressure methanol synthesis technology. The DMTO unit (including olefin separation) produces polymerization-grade ethylene and propylene, and at the same time purchases vinyl acetate and butene-1, and finally produces 300,000 tons/year of polypropylene and 250,000 tons/year of EVA through the polymerization unit, and by-products of sulfur, Mix by-products such as C4, C5+, propane, etc.
