Gogoro, a battery car and battery technology company in Taiwan Province of China, recently announced a new cooperation with MUJI, a famous Japanese lifestyle and leisure brand. This sustainable cooperation action strives to reduce PP waste, and uses post-consumer recycled PP materials in the body of the new battery car. Currently, two brand new models are participating in this partnership, including the Viva
ME and Viva Mix ME. The development and design of this model was completed under the guidance of the famous Japanese design master Naoto Fukasawad, including the classic design elements of MUJI, such as,
Rustic colors, a simple case, and a user-friendly design.
This is not the first time Gogoro has used recycled plastics in its products. The company has already started using recycled PP on battery cars in 2019. The current recycling project not only uses recycled plastics in battery cars, but also encourages a new way of life and calls on consumers to increase awareness of plastic waste. In addition, the stores of the two brands have set up PP delivery stations, which are then processed and used to manufacture brand new battery cars (RideApart.com).
