In terms of varieties, the average sales price of anthracite was 1385.5 yuan/ton, down 0.9%, down 16.7% year-on-year; the average sales price of bituminous coal was 918.75 yuan/ton, down 0.4%, down 8.5% year-on-year.
The coal market price in Hunan Province has returned to a weak position after two consecutive weeks of rising prices, and the market inventory is sufficient. The main reasons for the drop in coal prices this week are: first, the increase in precipitation, the improvement of hydropower output, and the enhanced role of hydropower in replacing thermal power, sharing part of the pressure on coal demand; second, the stable supply of coal. The survey of 2 sample companies this week showed that the operating rate of coal mines increased by 0.3% compared with the previous week, indicating that the market supply is stable; the third is that the terminal large-scale power plants have sufficient inventories, and the speed of destocking is gentle. Some small and medium-sized power plants with a low proportion of long-term associations maintain rigid demand, and coal demand in steel, cement, chemical and other industries mostly maintains a low inventory state; fourth, coal prices have risen for two consecutive weeks in the early stage, and the downstream acceptance is low, and coal prices have risen and corrected .
The research and judgment of the coal price trend in the later stage shows that August is still a critical period for "facing the peak and spending the summer". With the addition of macroeconomic heating expectations, coal demand is expected to increase again. It is expected that the coal market price in Hunan Province will fluctuate and run stronger in the later period .
