On August 2, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the operation of the national photovoltaic manufacturing industry in the first half of 2023.
In the first half of the year, my country's photovoltaic industry generally maintained a stable and positive development trend, and the output of major links in the industrial chain achieved rapid growth. According to the photovoltaic industry standard announcement enterprise information and industry association calculations, the national production of polysilicon, silicon wafers, batteries, and modules has reached a new high, with a year-on-year increase of more than 65%. In the polysilicon sector, the national output from January to June exceeded 606,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 66.1%;
In terms of silicon wafers, the national output from January to June exceeded 253.4GW, a year-on-year increase of 65.8%;
In terms of batteries, the national production of crystalline silicon batteries from January to June exceeded 224.5GW, a year-on-year increase of 65.7%;
In terms of components, from January to June, the national production of crystalline silicon components exceeded 204GW, a year-on-year increase of 65%; exports reached 108GW, a year-on-year increase of 37.3%.
