July Malaysia Rubber Production Grant (IPG) has started

According to news from Malaysia on August 1, the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) announced that it has launched the Rubber Production Grant (IPG) for small farmers in Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak in July 2023.

Peninsula cup rubber and latex subsidies are 35 sen per kg (50% dry rubber content) and 70 sen per kg (100% dry rubber content). Meanwhile, the subsidy for cup rubber and latex in Sabah is 70 sen per kg (50% dry rubber content) and RM1.40 per kg (100% dry rubber content), and the subsidy for cup rubber and latex in Sarawak is 60 sen per kg (50% dry rubber content) and RM1.20 per kg (100% dry rubber content).

Small farmers can file an IPG claim between August 1 and 31, 2023, based on July 2023 production.

From January 2023, when the monthly average price of SMR20 FOB is RM6.1/kg or the farmgate price is RM2.7/kg or even lower, IPG will start. For latex (100% dry rubber content), it will be activated when the cup glue is activated and the price is RM0.9/kg.
