On July 5th, the first domestic TPU material inflatable liferaft type approval ceremony was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang. China Classification Society (CCS) Zhejiang Branch issued three series of TPU thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer material inflatable liferaft type approval certificates for Ningbo Zhenhua Lifesaving Equipment Co., Ltd. with a total of 19 specifications. Qiu Jianyong, deputy general manager of CCS Zhejiang Branch, attended the event and delivered a speech.
The manufacture of traditional rubber inflatable liferafts requires treatment agents and glue in the manual bonding process. The treatment agents and glue contain two chemical substances, toluene and acetone, which are harmful to safety and the health of workers. It will also produce a large amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC) to pollute the environment. The inflatable liferaft made of TPU thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer is welded by a high-frequency welding machine, and the manufacturing process is green and environmentally friendly. It overcomes the shortcomings of traditional rubber cloth inflatable liferafts such as manual bonding, treatment agents and glue that are harmful to health and easy to age. It can realize assembly line production, thermal welding and bonding, and has the advantages of green environmental protection and durability.
Since the start of the type approval project, CCS Zhejiang Branch has actively helped customers carry out technical work such as drawing review and approval, solved difficult problems such as low temperature inflation and wind speed tests, and finally successfully completed the type approval work.
It is understood that Ningbo Zhenhua Lifesaving Equipment Co., Ltd. is an integrated enterprise specializing in R&D, production and sales of lifesaving equipment. Products are exported to Spain, Switzerland, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Greece, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and other countries and regions.
