According to Sanning Chemical, according to the construction node plan, in July 2023, the amide and nylon new material project of Hubei Sanning Chemical Co., Ltd. will be transferred to the equipment installation stage. Site backfilling, equipment temporary storage, and on-site equipment production and installation are carried out simultaneously. On-site safety, quality, progress and other management are also undergoing test acceptance.
The frame of the cyclohexanone main device has just been disassembled, and the equipment foundation and field are intensively deployed, especially the site preparation for the installation of large-scale equipment, and nearly 3,000 cubic meters of construction waste are backfilled. On June 30, the alkane refining tower and alkane dehydrogenation tower arrived at the site.
In the caprolactam area, the φ4.6*36.0m solvent rearrangement scrubber has also arrived at the site and is waiting to be unloaded.
The hydrogen peroxide device is mainly based on the steel beam column frame structure. After the pouring of the underground foundation was completed, on June 19, a large crawler crane entered the site early to start assembly, and more than 4,000 cubic meters of construction waste was hoisted and backfilled on site. On the afternoon of June 30, the foundation of the first steel column on site began to be poured. The bottom of the column was bolted and surrounded by pouring, and the quality was excellent.
Hubei Sanning chemical amide and nylon new material projects include:
400,000 tons/year caprolactam, including 1 million tons/year sulfuric acid plant, 560,000 tons/year hydrogen peroxide (50%) plant, 400,000 tons/year caprolactam supporting ammonium sulfate plant and 2 sets of 200,000 tons tons/year of ammonium sulfate extrusion granulation;
400,000 tons/year polyamide differentiated new material spinning project, including 400,000 tons/year polymerization device and 200,000 tons/year nylon 6 spinning;

Amide and nylon new material project
This project is a new high-end chemical material project implemented again after the company launched and completed the province’s industrial “No. 1 Project” in 2018 – the ethylene glycol project.
The project has a total investment of 14.5 billion yuan and covers an area of 1,588 mu. It is the largest single investment project of Sanning Chemical for more than 50 years, and it will increase by 4.5 billion yuan compared with the total investment of the previous ethylene glycol project. The project will start construction in 2021, and the actual investment of more than 3 billion yuan will be completed in 2022. The construction period of the entire project is 41 months. It is planned to complete the relevant equipment of the nylon 6 industrial chain by the end of December 2023, and start the construction of the relevant equipment of the nylon 66 industrial chain in January 2024, and it will be fully completed in 2025.
The amide and nylon new material project will integrate the world’s most advanced technology and equipment to become Sanning Chemical’s second “5G” high-intelligence chemical plant. After the project is fully completed and put into operation, it can realize an annual output value of 18.6 billion yuan, increase tax revenue of 1.3 billion yuan, and create 1,100 new jobs.
After the project is fully completed and reaches production capacity, Sanning Company will move towards a giant phalanx with an annual output value exceeding 30 billion yuan, and the tax payment will exceed 2 billion yuan.
The predecessor of Hubei Sanning Chemical Co., Ltd. is Zhijiang County Fertilizer Factory, which was founded in 1969. In 1993, it was restructured into a state-controlled joint-stock company as a pilot project. In 2001, it reformed the private enterprise through “two replacements”. In 2007, Shanxi Shanxi Coal Group, a super-large state-owned enterprise, took a relatively controlling stake.
