On August 14, the National Energy Administration released data on the electricity consumption of the whole society in July.
In July, the electricity consumption of the whole society was 888.8 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. In terms of industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 13.9 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 538.3 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 173.5 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 9.6% %; urban and rural residents' living electricity consumption was 163.1 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
From January to July, the cumulative electricity consumption of the whole society was 5,196.5 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%. In terms of industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 71.6 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 3,405.4 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 936.8 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 9.8% %; urban and rural residents' living electricity consumption was 782.7 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%.
