Recently, the commencement ceremony of two 450,000-ton/year polypropylene (PP) units of CNOOC Ningbo Daxie Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Daxie Petrochemical") refining and chemical integration project was held at the project site. The project will build 6 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum, 3.2 million tons/year catalytic cracking, 2.2 million tons/year wax oil hydrogenation, 1.5 million tons/year continuous reforming, 1.5 million tons/year hydrocracking, etc. 14 Set of devices, and support the construction of storage and transportation, public works and auxiliary facilities.
It is reported that the Daxie Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project has two sets of 450,000 tons/year polypropylene equipment, which is currently the largest polypropylene project of the same series in China. The product types include homopolymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers things etc. After the completion of the project, Daxie Petrochemical's polypropylene production capacity will reach 1.2 million tons per year. Previously, on August 30, 2023, Daxie Petrochemical's 300,000-ton/year polypropylene plant was put into operation.
The Daxie Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project Product Upgrade, Reconstruction and Expansion Project, as a national "Petrochemical Industry Planning and Layout Plan" planning project, a major industrial project in Zhejiang Province and a key project in Ningbo City, will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024. At that time, Daxie Petrochemical will have the production capacity of 10 million tons of refining, 1 million tons of aromatics and 1 million tons of polyolefins, and the total refining scale will reach 12 million tons.
