BASF: Sustainable polyamide made from waste tires for Baesiq s bike bags

Baesiq (Cologne, Germany) launches the new “Pendik” bike bag from the pinqponq brand thanks to the use of BASF’s Ultramid®
Ccycled® material, which greatly reduces CO2 emissions. The material is a mass-balanced polyamide produced using alternative raw materials from chemical recycling of plastic waste. When BASF started production in Ludwigshafen, it used waste tires to provide pyrolysis oil, replacing 100% of the fossil raw materials originally required for the product. The “Pendik” model is a 2-in-1 bag that functions as a bike rack. Its fabric is Ultramid®
Ccycled®, with a sleek matte look and soft cotton feel, while retaining the powerful performance benefits of traditional polyamide materials.
