Foreign news on July 27, industry data showed that Russia's off-line refining capacity in July has been revised down by 4.1% from the previous plan to 2.458 million tons.
The revision came as some large refineries changed their maintenance schedules. Spare refining capacity was also down from 37.3% in June.
In August, Russia's idle refining capacity is expected to increase by 46.5% to 3.601 million tons. A rise in spare refining capacity would normally spur exports, thwarting Russia's plan to cut overseas oil supply by 500,000 bpd next month.
