Coal prices in Sichuan fell slightly in June

According to the Ministry of Commerce's important means of production monitoring system, in June 2023, the average price of coal in Sichuan Province will be 947 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 0.9% and a year-on-year increase of 6.7%. Among them, the average price of anthracite was 937.7 yuan/ton, a decrease of 2.8% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 12.1%; the average price of bituminous coal was 956.4 yuan/ton, a month-on-month and year-on-year increase of 1.1% and 1.9% respectively. On the whole, the coal market price in Sichuan Province is stable and slightly down. Since 2023, coal production has grown on the basis of last year's high base. On the one hand, with the increase in the operating rate of coal enterprises, the inventory of enterprises is high, and the market supply is sufficient; Demand is weak and coal price growth is insufficient. With rising temperatures and industrial restoration, coal prices in Sichuan are expected to rise slightly in the near future.
