In recent years, with the development of my country's automobile industry, the export volume of complete vehicles in Taicang Port has also increased rapidly. According to the latest data released by Taicang Port, the export volume of complete vehicles in the first half of this year reached 170,000, a record high. At the same time, in order to meet the growing export demand, the port is also constantly innovating transportation methods and developing different ship types to meet the demand for transportation capacity.
At the Taicang Port Automobile Export Terminal, a ship loaded with 2,797 new energy vehicles will depart from Taicang to South America on the same day. In order to meet the transportation function of new energy vehicles, the ship has been modified accordingly. The cabin is equipped with an infrared temperature imaging device and a "one-to-one" real-time temperature monitoring system for new energy vehicles. Once the temperature is too high, the spray device will be turned on. In addition, in order to meet the insufficient capacity of traditional car ro-ro ships, Taicang Port and transportation companies have also developed custom-made container frames to load cars to make full use of the capacity of container ships. According to statistics, from January to June this year, Taicang Port completed the export of 170,000 complete vehicles, which has exceeded the export volume of the whole year of last year, of which new energy vehicles accounted for more than half.
