According to Chinese official data, as of the end of June, China's total installed capacity of renewable energy power generation exceeded 1.3 billion kilowatts. Renewable energy has been further consolidated as the main body of China's newly installed power generation capacity, and its role in ensuring energy supply and promoting clean and low-carbon transformation has become more and more prominent.
China's National Energy Administration announced on the 19th that in the first half of this year, the country's renewable energy development momentum was good, and the installed capacity and power generation capacity of power generation increased steadily. As of the end of June, the national installed capacity of hydropower was 418 million kilowatts, the installed capacity of wind power was 390 million kilowatts, the installed capacity of solar power was 471 million kilowatts, the installed capacity of biomass power generation was 43 million kilowatts, and the total installed capacity of renewable energy power generation exceeded 1.3 billion kilowatts, reaching 1.322 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase. 18.2%, accounting for about 48.8% of China's total installed capacity.
Statistics show that from January to June this year, China's newly installed renewable energy power generation capacity reached 109 million kilowatts, accounting for 77% of the country's newly installed capacity. Among them, hydropower was added 5.36 million kilowatts, wind power was added 22.99 million kilowatts, solar power was added 78.42 million kilowatts, and biomass power generation was added 1.76 million kilowatts. The country's renewable energy power generation capacity reached 1.34 trillion kWh, of which hydropower generation was 516.6 billion kWh, wind power generation was 462.8 billion kWh, photovoltaic power generation was 266.3 billion kWh, and biomass power generation was 98.4 billion kWh.
