The "2022 National Traditional Chinese Medicine Supervision Blue Book" compiled and issued under the guidance of the State Food and Drug Administration was released on July 18. The blue book shows that in 2022, the state will sample 5,805 batches of 47 varieties of Chinese patent medicines, with a passing rate of 99.3%.

Zhao Junning, deputy director of the State Food and Drug Administration: The results of national drug sampling inspections in the past five years show that the quality of Chinese patent medicines has improved significantly since 2019, and the pass rate has remained above 99%. We will carry out national drug sampling inspection and quality monitoring of traditional Chinese medicinal materials according to the annual plan, comprehensively analyze the sampling monitoring data, and strengthen the monitoring of adverse reactions of traditional Chinese medicine. Organize the research and development of monitoring tools for adverse reaction signals of traditional Chinese medicines in line with the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicines, and carry out comprehensive analysis and judgment on the discovered safety risk signals in a timely manner.

According to reports, my country's traditional Chinese medicine has a wide range of supervision, a long chain, and many links. Therefore, consolidating and improving the whole-chain supervision system from standardized planting to clinical use has become the primary task of the current Chinese medicine supervision.
