According to the "Gazette", in 2022, the national medical assistance expenditure will be 62.6 billion yuan, the medical assistance fund will subsidize 81.86 million people participating in basic medical insurance, and provide outpatient and hospital assistance for 118.29 million people. The insurance participation rate of rural low-income population included in the scope of monitoring has remained above 99%. Various medical insurance comprehensive support policies have benefited 145 million rural low-income people to seek medical treatment, reducing the burden of medical expenses on rural low-income population by 148.7 billion yuan.
