Since the beginning of this year, affected by market factors, the output of high energy-consuming industries such as iron and steel and coking in the city has dropped significantly. From January to May, the city's comprehensive industrial energy consumption was 7.789 million tons of standard coal, a year-on-year decrease of 9.1%, and energy consumption per unit of industrial added value decreased by 14.1% year-on-year, which was basically the same as that in January-April, and the energy conservation situation was good.
In terms of industries, the main energy-consuming industries experienced “four declines and two increases”. The comprehensive energy consumption of the six major industrial sectors was 7.472 million tons of standard coal, a year-on-year decrease of 9.3%. Among them: the energy consumption of the iron and steel industry decreased by 18.6% year-on-year, the coal industry decreased by 4.2%, the coking industry decreased by 0.7%, the chemical industry decreased by 4.0%, the power generation industry increased by 0.5%, and the building materials industry increased by 10.7%.
