As the world-class project with the largest one-time construction scale in China, the Guangdong Petrochemical Project not only has the world's largest single-set aromatics complex, the world's largest single-line capacity polypropylene and the world's largest single-set styrene plant, and the largest domestic atmospheric and vacuum power plant Desalination, the largest domestic gas fraction "five firsts", and its raw material adaptability, high value-added products, energy consumption levels, etc. have reached the world-class level, the safety and emergency system configuration is more complete, and the park's "three wastes" are disposed of efficiently. Since the feasibility study and design stage, the project has used a lot of self-owned technology, more than 90% of the domestic equipment, the core control system has been fully localized, and the intelligent factory has realized the "five unified" management, laying the foundation for lean operation Solid foundation. In particular, the 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant was designed and built by PetroChina. It is currently the largest domestically produced ethylene plant with independent technology. The thermal efficiency of the cracking furnace reaches 95%.
In the process of construction and operation, this project has given birth to the independent innovation of my country's refining and chemical technology. The raw materials processed by Guangdong Petrochemical include the most difficult to process low-quality heavy oil in the world. The equipment in the refining area of the project has applied advanced and mature technology, which can meet the long-term stable operation requirements of the equipment. The new type of high-impurity-resistant, low-cost non-precious metal alloy selective hydrogenation catalyst independently developed by China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute not only ensures the start-up of the device as scheduled, but also solves the problem of catalyst "stuck neck", reducing the cost by 80%; independent The research and development of PHG gasoline selective hydrogenation desulfurization technology confirms the maturity and advanced nature of PetroChina's independent gasoline hydrogenation technology.
The Guangdong petrochemical project has further optimized the country's integrated refining and chemical production capacity layout, which has strongly supported the rapid growth of my country's ethylene production capacity, and alleviated to a certain extent the problem that my country needs to import a large amount of ethylene and long-term dependence on imports of high-end chemical raw materials.
