In June, China's e-commerce logistics index was 110.6 points, an increase of 1.1 points from the previous month. The nine sub-indices all rebounded. From the perspective of demand, various localities have launched activities to benefit people's livelihood and promote consumption, to stimulate residents' willingness to shop online and promote the effective release of online and offline consumption potential. The growth rate of the total business volume index of e-commerce logistics has expanded compared with the previous month.
According to data from major e-commerce platforms, folk food, outdoor products and sporting goods increased by 10% to 20% year-on-year in June. Snack food, alcoholic beverages and prepared dishes showed rapid growth.
In addition, the business volume of rural e-commerce logistics continued to rise. In June, the rural e-commerce logistics business volume index was 128.4 points, an increase of 3.3 points from the previous month. The growth rate of rural e-commerce business volume exceeded 25%, and it has basically returned to the pre-epidemic level.
Since the first half of this year, China's e-commerce logistics index has continued to rise, accumulatively rising by 5.5 points and 2.3 points in the first quarter and the second quarter, and returned to above 110 points after 20 months, reflecting the current recovery of online shopping consumption The trend is further consolidated.
The Timeliness Index of Logistics Service Capability Improvement Reached a New High
From the perspective of e-commerce logistics service capabilities, the logistics timeliness index, satisfaction rate index and personnel index have continued to rise, reflecting the continuous improvement of my country's e-commerce logistics service capabilities and providing effective support for the rapid development of e-commerce logistics.
In June, the performance rate index, which reflects the performance level of e-commerce logistics distribution, returned to above 100 points after 23 months, basically returning to the pre-epidemic level after rising for half a year.
In addition, the inventory turnover index rebounded, and the logistics timeliness index hit a new high. Among them, the logistics timeliness index, which reflects the efficiency level of logistics distribution, was 101.9 points, an increase of 0.3 points from the previous month, hitting a new high since November 2021.
In addition, it is worth noting that the cost index increased by 0.8 points, and the increase was larger than that of the previous month. Enterprises are still facing greater pressure on cost increases. From a later point of view, with the weakening of the effect of e-commerce promotional activities, the demand for e-commerce logistics may drop slightly, but the trend of continuous rise in e-commerce logistics index will continue.
