Data released by the Qinghai Provincial Energy Bureau show that from January to May 2023, the electricity consumption of the whole society in Qinghai Province was 41.78 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%.
Among them, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 50 million kwh, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 36.95 billion kwh, an increase of 11.2% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 2.73 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase 14.6%; the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 2.05 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%.
From January to May, the province's power generation was 39.42 billion kwh, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%. Among them, hydropower was 13.17 billion kwh, a year-on-year decrease of 21%; thermal power was 7.6 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 11.0%; solar energy was 11.43 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%; wind power was 7.22 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%.
As of the end of May, a total of 1,522 market entities had been registered on the Qinghai Power Trading Platform. Among them, there were 804 power generation companies, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%; 215 electricity sales companies, a year-on-year decrease of 36.6%; and 503 power users, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%.
In May, the market-based transaction settlement power of power users in the province was 7.49 billion kwh, an increase of 9.2% year-on-year; Replacement hair, network loss and assessment, and standby market power 090 million kwh), a year-on-year decrease of 19.3%; outsourced power was 1.48 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 45.1%.
