The growth rate of industrial electricity consumption has dropped sharply. From January to May, the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 87.84 billion kwh, an increase of 4.4%, of which the industrial electricity consumption was 86.81 billion kwh, an increase of 4.6%.
The power consumption of key industrial industries has been reduced by 5 to 2 liters. The growth rate of electricity consumption in the tertiary industry has slowed down. In May, the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 2.88 billion kwh, an increase of 8.8%, and the growth rate was 4.2 percentage points lower than that of the previous month. From January to May, the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 15.79 billion kwh, an increase of 7.3%.
In terms of categories, in May, the electricity consumption of the information transmission, software and information technology service industry increased by 30.7%, the electricity consumption of the accommodation and catering industry increased by 24.5%, the electricity consumption of the leasing and business service industry increased by 16.4%, and the electricity consumption of the wholesale industry increased by 30.7%. Electricity consumption in the retail and retail industry increased by 15.7%, electricity consumption in the real estate industry increased by 13.7%, and electricity consumption in the transportation, warehousing and postal industry increased by 2.6%.
The growth rate of residential electricity consumption has dropped. In May, the domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 1.96 billion kwh, an increase of 5.8%, and the growth rate dropped by 6.6 percentage points from the previous month. From January to May, the domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 13.02 billion kwh, an increase of 7.3%.
