In May, the output of major energy products of enterprises above designated size in Anhui Province increased steadily.
Raw coal production remains stable. In May, the production of raw coal was 9.553 million tons, which was basically the same as the same period of the previous year, with a slight increase of 0.1%. From January to May, 46.797 million tons of raw coal were produced, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%.
Growth in electricity production accelerated. In May, enterprises above designated size generated 26.43 billion kwh of electricity, an increase of 17.3% year-on-year; the cumulative power generation was 127.04 billion kwh, an increase of 5.4%, an increase of 2.9 percentage points faster than that in the first four months. In terms of varieties, in May, thermal power, hydraulic power, and wind power all maintained rapid growth, with growth rates of 17.7%, 85.3% and 17.0% respectively; solar power generation fell by 9.9%.
Crude oil processing rebounded sharply. In May, 661,000 tons of crude oil were processed, an increase of 20.0%; from January to May, a total of 3.064 million tons of crude oil were processed, an increase of 5.0%, an increase of 3.5 percentage points over the first four months.
