According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to May, the housing construction area of real estate development enterprises was 7,795.06 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%. Among them, the residential construction area was 5,484.75 million square meters, a decrease of 6.5%.
The area of newly started housing was 397.23 million square meters, a decrease of 22.6%. Among them, the newly started area of residential buildings was 290.1 million square meters, a decrease of 22.7%.
The area of housing completed was 278.26 million square meters, an increase of 19.6%. Among them, the completed residential area was 201.94 million square meters, an increase of 19.0%.
