On the 12th, the 10,000 standard cubic meters per hour battery fuel hydrogen project located in Qian'an Economic Development Zone, Hebei Province was officially put into operation. The project uses coke oven gas and other industrial by-product gases as raw materials to prepare battery fuel hydrogen. The hydrogen production project for battery fuel with the largest single production capacity that has been put into production is also the largest production capacity domestic iron and steel industry (coking) tail gas-to-fuel hydrogen project.
It is reported that the project has been selected as a key construction project in Hebei Province and a strategic emerging industrialization project in Hebei Province, with a total investment of 117.56 million yuan. Construction will start in April 2022. After reaching the production capacity, it will achieve an annual output of 7,200 tons of hydrogen for fuel cells, which can meet the needs of 700 fuel cell heavy-duty trucks and other fuel cell vehicles every day, and can help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 82,000 tons per year.
"We have set up an industrial development fund of 1 billion yuan to accelerate the creation of a hydrogen energy innovation chain and industrial chain around the application scenarios of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain. At present, Qian'an City has built nearly 10,000 tons of hydrogen production capacity, with an annual output of 300 sets of small test lines for fuel cell projects have already achieved production capacity, and 5,000 sets of production lines are expected to be put into operation in August this year. Three hydrogen refueling stations have been built, with a daily gas supply capacity of 5 tons, which can meet the gas consumption of 150 hydrogen-powered heavy trucks. Demand." Mao Zeping, director of Qian'an City Development and Reform Bureau, said.
