The Jinneng New Materials and Hydrogen Energy Comprehensive Utilization Project invested and constructed by Jinneng Chemical (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. is a key project in Shandong Province and Qingdao City and the first batch of major projects for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy in the province. At present, the first phase has been put into operation in September 2021; the second phase will start in February 2022, and is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of this year; the third phase will start construction in the second half of this year.
After the second phase of the project is put into operation, Jinneng Chemical's propane dehydrogenation capacity will reach 1.8 million tons per year, and the West Coast will become the world's largest propane dehydrogenation base and the country's leading polypropylene production base. It is reported that as of now, the main steel structure of the 900,000-ton/year propane dehydrogenation device in the East Plant of the second phase of the Jinneng New Materials and Hydrogen Energy Comprehensive Utilization Project has been basically completed, all static equipment has been installed, and 95% of the dynamic equipment has been installed. 50% of the process piping is completed; 90% of the main body of the steel structure of the two sets of 450,000 tons/year high-performance polypropylene plant in the west plant area has been completed, 90% of the static equipment installation has been completed, and 40% of the process piping has been completed. Large-scale unit equipment has been delivered and installed one after another.
In terms of production technology, Jinneng Chemical has introduced the world's most advanced American Lummus propane dehydrogenation process to propylene and Italian Basel technology. The level of automation and intelligence of the factory is also in the forefront of the industry. In the polypropylene intelligent vertical warehouse, all products from the warehouse to packaging, palletizing, and loading are operated by intelligent robots. In December 2018, the first phase of the Jinneng Chemical project started, and it will be fully completed and put into operation in September 2021; in February 2022, the second phase of the project will be fully started, and it is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of this year; in the second half of this year, the third phase of the project will soon start construction. In just a few years, Jinneng Chemical has become the main force in the new district and even Qingdao to build a 100 billion-level advanced manufacturing industry chain for new materials.
"Our first-phase and second-phase projects are equipped with high-performance polypropylene equipment. After the second-phase project is put into operation, the total production capacity of high-performance polypropylene will reach 1.35 million tons." According to reports, along the propylene industry chain to continue to expand downstream, Jinneng Chemical's third phase project will build an environmentally friendly new material project with an annual output of 850,000 tons, planning acrylic acid, BA, NPG, SAP and other environmentally friendly new material products. In addition, the third phase of the project will also use n-butane as raw material to produce degradable plastics such as PBAT and PBS, expand the new C4 industrial chain, and help the new high-end chemical industry to rise incrementally.
At present, the third phase of the project has completed project approval, energy assessment and reply, and is going through the procedures of environmental impact assessment, safety assessment, process package design and so on. "After the completion of the third phase of the project, the annual output value will exceed 50 billion yuan. Jinneng Chemical will form a green, low-carbon and high-end chemical industry chain in Qingdao, helping Qingdao's high-end chemical industry to move towards a world-class level." Create a benchmark enterprise of green chemical industry
In recent years, while accelerating the deployment of the entire propylene industry chain, Jinneng Chemical has been moving towards green, continuously building and improving the recycling system, promoting energy conservation, emission reduction and consumption reduction, and creating a new benchmark for green chemical industry.
Taking the propane dehydrogenation device as an example, the hydrogen-rich tail gas produced by the device is transported to the carbon black production device through pipelines, which can be used as fuel for the carbon black reactor; the tail gas generated by the carbon black is sent to the tail gas boiler to produce high-temperature and high-pressure steam, and then sent to the propane dehydrogenation device. The hydrogen device is used as the driving power of the compressor, and the waste heat and pressure can continue to be converted into electrical energy for use by the device.
In terms of raw material storage, Jinneng Chemical has built a propane cavern with a capacity of 600,000 cubic meters at a depth of 150 meters underground in the factory area. Propane is berthed and unloaded at Dongjiakou Wharf by large ships, and is directly transported to caverns through special chemical pipelines, avoiding the safety risks and energy costs of traditional tank truck transportation and loading and unloading.
In the future, Jinneng will also simultaneously use the tidal flats in Qiziwan sea area around Muguan Island to build offshore photovoltaic power generation, provide clean energy alternatives for new materials and high-end chemicals, save energy consumption indicators, and reduce carbon dioxide and pollutant emissions. After the completion of the third phase of the project, the total investment of the project will reach 50.5 billion yuan, and the annual output value will reach 52.4 billion yuan, forming a "C3+C4+photovoltaic+hydrogen" green low-carbon high-end chemical industry chain, helping Qingdao's high-end chemical industry to move towards a world-class level.
