On April 20, the Wuhai Ecological Environment Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region approved the environmental assessment of the three major projects of Inner Mongolia Junzheng Chemical Co., Ltd. 3 million tons of coking integration and upgrading facilities, 550,000 tons of coke oven gas to methanol, and 2×45,000KVA high-quality ferrosilicon production capacity reduction replacement projects were all approved, marking the major progress made by the chemical giant’s large-scale projects.
Among them, Inner Mongolia Junzheng Chemical Co., Ltd. has an annual output of 550,000 tons of coke oven gas/calcium carbide furnace tail gas to methanol comprehensive utilization project.
The project will construct coke oven gas compression purification device and pure oxygen conversion device: coke oven gas treatment capacity is 115065Nm/h (kilometers) calcium carbide furnace gas treatment device: calcium carbide furnace gas treatment capacity is 35162Nm/h
(thousand bases) methanol synthesis unit: methanol 550,000 tons/year, hydrogen and oxygen 23000Nm/h air separation unit: 22000Nm/h, nitrogen 40000Nm/h. There are other supporting facilities such as methanol tank area and car loading and unloading station
(joint construction with coking), circulating water station, fire water station (joint construction with coking), power transformation and distribution room, on-site cabinet room, regional power distribution room, regional cabinet room, torch system, foam station and other public works and auxiliary production facilities etc.
Inner Mongolia Junzheng Energy Chemical Group Co., Ltd. was established in 2003. In recent years, the company has developed a circular economy relying on superior resources such as coal and limestone in Wuhai City. It has a production capacity of 800,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride products, 550,000 tons of caustic soda products, and ferrosilicon products.
