From May 1, 2023, Hu Wentao will succeed Limbaugh as President of WACKER China. At the same time, he served as the global vice president of WACKER’s silicone business unit, responsible for the functional additive materials business.
Mr. Wentao Hu joined WACKER in 2002. Before that, he was with General Electric Plastics. After joining WACKER, Mr. Hu Wentao served as the person in charge of several key business areas. In 2009, he was transferred to Demei Wacker Silicone Co., Ltd. and successively served as the general manager and chairman. Since 2016, he has served as Vice President of WACKER China, successively in charge of polymer and silicone business. Mr. Hu Wentao has a background in chemical machinery and a master’s degree in business administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
