Ceramic Coatings, Inc. is a manufacturer of a patented portfolio of wood coating materials and related CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers) products. The acquisition of Ceramic Coatings is in line with Canlak's vision to create a dedicated wood coating systems business while accelerating its growth in the North American OEM wood coatings market. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ceramic Coatings has a strong brand reputation as a supplier of custom, proprietary water-based and solvent-borne wood coatings. Ceramic Coatings also offers comprehensive, complete manufacturing capabilities for related CASE products. The acquisition of Ceramic Coatings is highly complementary to Canlak Coatings, enhancing its product coverage in the US while strengthening the company's focus on OEM wood coatings. Combined company will offer a comprehensive wood coatings portfolio and offer Canlak to Ceramic Coatings customers The company's differentiated UV and water-based coating technologies.
