With the theme of “Growing with Customers,” global specialty chemicals leader Nouryon released its fourth annual Sustainability Report, highlighting the company’s progress and milestones in sustainability. Nouryon’s sustainable development strategy focuses on continuously improving safety and environmental performance, innovating sustainable solutions to meet customer needs, and engaging with employees, customers and suppliers to jointly promote sustainable development.
2022Nouryon’s sustainability highlights include:
● Nouryon promotes several new eco-premium solutions: more than one-third of the company’s 2022 sales will come from eco-premium solutions. Example: Agrilan®
1015 biodegradable dispersant for crop protection and seed treatment applications, SolAmaze® natural polymers for sunscreens and many other personal care products such as color cosmetics and hair care products.
● An increased focus on R&D focused on solutions with sustainable benefits to meet growing customer demand: 77% of the company’s product R&D projects focus on solutions with sustainable benefits, up from 10% in 2021 69%.
● Nouryon has developed a greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction plan: this report outlines the company’s specific actions to achieve the 2030 target. Between 2019 and 2022, Nouryon will Scopes 1 and 2 (Scopes

● Engage and collaborate: Nouryon launched its first Global Month of Service campaign, focusing on providing school supplies and education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and safety to underprivileged students and communities. Employees self-organized pro bono projects at 24 locations in 8 countries. The company also donates to organizations such as the International Red Cross, and provides volunteer and financial support to the Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation.
